Seth is the Director of Educator Support and Leadership Development with Pitt County Schools in Greenville, NC. He has spent over 20 years in eastern NC as a middle and high school teacher, assistant principal, principal, and in district support. Currently, Seth is the co-director of the R3 Framework (Recruit, Retain, Reward) which is a $20M comprehensive Human Capital Management System designed to engage and empower teacher leaders and principals. Seth is a trainer for Habits of Mind and an agency trainer for Cognitive CoachingSM.

In addition to his certifications with Thinking Collaborative and the Institute for Habits of Mind, Seth holds trainer certifications from MiraVia (Data Driven Dialogue), the Center for Leadership Studies (Situational Leadership), the Center for Creative Leadership (360 Degree Leadership Assessments), and Vital Smarts (Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, Getting Things Done, and Influencer). Seth holds a B.A. in Social Studies Education from UNC-Chapel Hill, a M.A. in School Administration from East Carolina University, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from NC State University.

Special Qualifications:_The R3 Framework is a comprehensive program using Adaptive Schools, Cognitive Coaching, Habits of Mind, and other related work, like Data Driven Dialogue and Mentoring Matters from MiraVia. This program provides a unique K-12 experience in how the work of Thinking Collaborative can be utilized to impact teachers and learning across a K-12 system._Seth regularly presents workshops for the North Carolina Association of Principals and Assistant Principals (NC PAPA) across the state. He was part of the redesign team for the Distinguished Leadership in Practice program for principals and trains assistant principal in the Future Ready Leadership program.
